Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa Yoga is called a "flow' because of the smooth way the yoga poses run together and is one of the most popular forms of yoga. Vinyasa in Sanskrit simply means "connection" and this is at the heart of every vinyasa class - the connection of movement with breath as you flow through the sequence.

There are many health benefits to vinyasa yoga, not only does it keep you active but it reduces stress and tension in the body and is accessible for many fitness levels. It also reduces arterial stiffness as we age and has been shown to help lower blood sugar levels & cholesterol therefore improving mood, overall heart health and a feeling of wellness.

Yin Yoga

Yin yoga involves holding passive poses for extended periods, targeting connective tissues and promoting deep relaxation. Long, passive holds in Yin yoga gently stretch and lengthen muscles and fascia, improving flexibility and mobility. By stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system, Yin yoga induces a state of calmness and relaxation, reducing stress and anxiety.

Yin yoga helps to maintain joint health and flexibility by targeting areas prone to stiffness and immobility, such as hips, spine, and shoulders.

Incorporating both Vinyasa and Yin yoga into your practice offers a holistic approach to wellness, balancing strength, flexibility, and relaxation for a harmonious mind-body connection.
